Review:  I love these books and now they come in a great box set! Each ‘Football School’ book is packed full of fun, interesting and sometimes silly information all with a football twist. The box the three books come in is sturdy and very colourful, I like the fun little football pitch image on the top! The three books you get are all hardback and are the first three seasons (or first three books) of Football School.

I’ve written separate reviews for each book on it’s own product page so I won’t explain every book in too much detail here but give an overall review of all three instead. Every book of Football School follows the same pattern. The books are all filled with easy to read text, and black and white illustrations are throughout making it more fun. Each books is arranged like a school with lessons (chapters) on different subjects. Each lesson (chapter) has interesting information and facts explained with a short quiz at the end to see if you remember what you’ve learned.

The lessons in each chapter are actually all based on school lessons, such as maths, biology, etc. but they all have a football theme to them, so while biology in one book may be about the digestive system, the whole chapter focuses on footballers poo! Despite not being a football fan myself I have just loved these books and how much fun information you can pick up, it’s actually making me more interested in the sport which shows you just how interesting and fun they are. There are chapters, (I mean lessons) which talk about football stadiums, kits and the latest book even has a field trip which focuses on ‘visiting’ a particular stadium and seeing how environmental one club is. The facts are all real and sometimes very silly or even a bit icky to read but I’m sure plenty of football fans would simply love them.

The way the books are all arranged, with fun lessons and quizzes is already fun, but the illustrations really add to this too and make the book very funny to read. The images are all black and white but are dotted around the text on each page. Each illustration is very funny and does make the book and subjects you learn about more appealing. Many times an already interesting and fun fact is made hilarious by some of the creative illustrations and they are all just so funny and it makes reading these books even better.

I would really recommend this to any football fan. If someone like me, who isn’t even a fan of football has found these books fun then I’m sure anyone who’s a fan would simply love these! This fun box set, with all three books included just makes a perfect gift for anyone who loves football. I can really recommend this!
