My Best Post(s)

Well, this is hard because I haven’t been blogging that much and really don’t have much to choose from. There are a couple of posts I am super proud of though.

The first is my recent post on mental health Living in the Bubble of OCD – Are You a Little Bit OCD? I’m proud of myself for this post as I’ve always felt nervous and anxious about revealing so much about myself, and especially the parts of me that, well, are less than perfect. But I’ve shared and it feels good to not only share the struggles but also to let others out there know that if they feel strange then they aren’t alone. Please check it out if you are interested in mental health, I plan to write more like it.

The second is my two-part poem: Why – I Don’t (part 1) , Why – I Don’t (part 2 ) I enjoy writing poetry and sometimes I deal with negative emotions by writing poems, but I also feel proud of myself for writing this because I wrote about a subject that has always been close to my heart – animals. I’ve never felt so confident to talk about my beliefs without feeling worried, so it was good to feel confident for the first time in releasing a poem 🙂 Even if you’re not a keen poetry enthusiast or an animal person please take a look ❤

Questions from Women with Gifts

If you could give any advice to any female in your life to inspire them, what would it be?

Always keep your dreams close to your heart and never become the person that someone else wants you to be – become who you want to be. You are perfect as you are, and no matter what, don’t change for anyone.

What do you daily to make yourself a better person?

I try to meditate everyday, spending at least a few minutes out of everyday in quiet. I try to reflect on the day or just focus on relaxing and being calm. I enjoy visualising things while meditating 🙂

What inspires your writing?

My own life inspires my writing. I haven’t had the easiest life, there have been many dark moments and bad experiences, but I find using them fuels my writing. Sometimes an emotion I felt at the time comes back to me and I am inspired to write about it. Often, when I write about things I want people to either be inspired, entertained, to learn something new, or maybe even just understand that they are not alone in the world. I hope it comes across in my posts.

What have you done in 2019 that you are most proud of?

It may sound a bit lame as I haven’t done much, but I like to think of how I’ve coped mentally is something I’m most proud of already. This year I focused for the first time on being really true to myself. In the past I’ve always found it hard to be who I really am, I’ve always kept a part of me hidden, trying to conform to what people expect of me, but this year I’m finally being myself and realising that the real me is something that people do like too!

What can you see yourself doing with your writing a year from now?

I’d love to be reaching more people, to hopefully inspire people with my writing. Maybe even writing a book – that’s a dream I’ve had since I was twelve! 🙂

Nominations

I’m going to nominate some of you, although I usually don’t nominate for awards/tags. If you don’t feel like doing this award that’s absolutely fine, and please don’t be upset if I didn’t pick you, it’s nothing personal, I’m just going with the people who I can think of right now…And apologies if I have picked someone who has just done the award…

Questions for those I have nominated:

  • Why did you start blogging?
  • How do you relax and unwind at the end of the day?
  • Is there any big thing you hope to achieve/do (bucket list type stuff) which you haven’t yet?
  • What advice would you give to your younger self?
  • If you were stuck eating one food for the rest of your life, what would you choose? (that’s the weird question 😉 )

Thank you so much again to Women With gifts for nominating me and I hope some of you want to take up the challenge. Please don’t be offended if I didn’t choose you, or did choose you but you don’t want to do it, I just chose randomly and if you really want to do the challenge (and I didn’t nominate you) then please go ahead.

Remember to link back to this post so I can read everyone’s answers. Have a happy day! 😀
