Today I’d like to share a picture that took me a while to complete but it’s one that I’m proud of because I just love highland cow! This picture comes from the book Relaxing Art Therapy Colouring Book from publisher Michael O’Mara. While the background is pre-coloured in, the actual cows themselves were all black and white and I decided to take my colouring pencils to this picture and create this masterpiece 😀
I definitely love going all colourful when I colour something in! Each cow looks a little different and I do wonder if my colouring choices have anything to do with my personality.🤔 What do you think? Don’t you love that cows’ face? 😀 😀

I love the colours you have used and think the cow looks marvellous! Do you mind my asking what make of pencils you use? the colours are wonderfully strong.

Thank you so much, I’m glad you like the colours ❤ 🙂 I really don't mind you asking and they are surprisingly WHSmith colouring pencils. I got a flat box of them (they come in two or three different sizes depending on how many pencils, I think mine are 36 or something pencils to a box) and they aren't too expensive but they have a slightly more waxy feel (as opposed to very dry and scratchy) and they really apply well to the page. I've tried a lot of pencils and they haven't been very good but to me these are the best. I'm not sure what the most expensive colouring pencils are like, I haven't bothered to try them since I'm so happy with this set! 🙂

I found the link to them on the WHSMith website. I last bought them about a year ago now. There might be others that they sell which are cheaper but this packet really is a bargain for me (original price is about £8) it’s s much cheaper than of the well known brands:
