This is some of my colouring from the book Scandinavian Folk Patterns (Creative Colouring for Grown-Ups) and I have given the piece of colouring my own title of: Horse Tower because of course, it’s a tower of horses, or at least it looks like that. I have always loved this kind of folk design, perhaps it’s because my family come from Eastern Europe, mainly Poland, and I grew up with similar types of patterns on various items over the years (I’m British by the way, but you know how family’s bring over lots of trinkets and books and stuff 😉 ). Or maybe it’s just how different the designs are to ones here in the west. Whatever the reason I love these designs and would love to hear what you think of my colouring efforts too 😀 By the way you can’t really see it, but I’ve even done a shading of the white background…I hate to leave a piece of colouring with any white left (unless it’s white because it’s snow or something!)

This is just one of many different designs you can colour in from the Scandinavian Folk Patterns (Creative Colouring for Grown-Ups) book and it’s one of the slightly simpler designs. Let me know what you think of my attempt and the book itself 🙂
Do you like my colouring? What about folk patterns in general? What designs would you like to colour in? Let me know what you think in the comments below 🙂
Lovely colouring! I love these folk designs, too 🙂
