This is the second book haul post of books I got in late January and this time it’s books from publisher Andersen Press!  I’ve been so lucky to get my hands on these books and big thank you to Andersen Press and to Walker Books too who helped send them to me 🙂 🙂  There’s a lovely mix of books here, picture books and a couple of reading books for children of different ages.

First let’s look at the picture books (descriptions are short ones from publisher’s email):

#Goldilocks: A Hashtag Cautionary Tale by Jeanne Willis & Tony RossEveryone loves Goldilocks’ hilarious online videos, but in her quest to get more likes,  she tries something a little more daring: stealing porridge #pipinghot, breaking chairs #fun, and using someone else’s bed #sleep. What will Daddy Bear do when he sees that online?

When Sadness Comes to Call by Eva ElandWhen Sadness arrives, try not to be afraid: give it a name, listen to it and spend some time together. Maybe all it wants is to know that it’s welcome. A poignant but uplifting look at dealing with sadness.

And now for two reading books with some lovely covers:

Mermaid School by Lucy Courtenay & Sheena DempsyIt is Marnie Blue’s very first day at Lady Sealia Foam’s Mermaid School, and she’s terrified. What if she can’t make any new friends, or if she’s asked to ride a seahorse?
But when a fellow pupil is in danger, it’s up to Marnie to swim to the rescue.

Evernight by Ross MackenzieThousands of years ago, the Evernight came to the Silver Kingdom and turned everything to darkness and chaos. It was only defeated thanks to the skill and bravery of the Witches. But now the Evernight is about to return…

Aren’t these some amazing and beautiful books!  I can’t wait to read them all and let you know more about them here.  Reviews will appear as soon as I’m able to post them, so look out for these books coming soon. 🙂
