Happy Valentine’s Day! Today is the day when many will be exchanging tokens to show their love to someone special. But did you know that Valentine’s day can be celebrated even if you do not have a partner? Valentine’s day can be shared with anyone special who you love. Whether that’s a family member, friend or even a beloved pet. Sometimes we forget how our animals are a source of complete and unconditional love, and they want little in return other than to be fed, kept warm and know that they are loved 🙂 Whoever you celebrate Valentine’s day with, make it a special day for you, do not buy into the hype and spend lots of money, unless you want to. Simply spend the day reminding the people and animals you love, just how much you love them. Have a lovely day everyone ❤ 🙂
The following is a poem which I hope you will all enjoy and remember to (where possible) please adopt and not shop ❤ 🙂
Furever mine
A beautiful mind,
A pleasant face,
It’s you I desire,
To hold, embrace.
How I feel for you,
There are no words,
My heart a flutter,
Like wings of birds.
To look at you,
My heart does melt,
If only you knew,
Just what I felt.
From now to end,
Of all of time,
I’ll love forever,
As you’re now mine.

How is/was you Valentine’s day? Are you doing anything special with a loved one? What do you think of this poem? Let me know what you think in the comments below 🙂
That’s a sweet poem. 🙂
We’re having a late meal to celebrate next week (waiting until next week, because we’re combining it with a trip to the groomers for the dogs, and anyway then everyone else will have already done their meals, so it hopefully won’t be so crowded). Today we’re just enjoying each other’s company (by we I mean me, hubby, the dogs, the chinchilla, and the tortoise).
Whoever your spending yours with, or even if you’re just spending the day making yourself feel loved, I hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day.

Thank you 🙂 I love that you mention making yourself feel loved. That’s definitely something that more people should be doing, especially if Valentine’s Day is one they feel alone or upset about.
For me it was a good day but got a bit hectic later on as was doing packing to set off for visiting some family I hadn’t seen for years so it was both a lovely day but then got a bit stressful with packing and stuff. The weekend visit was great but travelling through the middle of london with engeneering works shutting down the underground lines I needed to use, trains full to bursting and a lot of wind (storm dennis) it was quite tiring. And it’s the reason I haven’t been online the last few days.
I hope you and your whole family (animals included) had a lovely day ❤ 🙂

I wondered where you were. Glad you were just busy enjoying family time. 🙂
Ugh! You were out in Storm Dennis? Going across London is stressful enough without that! Well, I’m glad you seem to have enjoyed all but the travelling parts of your trip.
I put a couple of videos on YouTube of what Storm Dennis was like in our area, which will be going up on my blog later this morning. I know it was worse in some areas. There’s severe flooding near where I’m from and still have family and friends in Wales, for example.

Yes, storm Dennis was definitely better in London than in most places, I luckily just experienced mainly a strong wind, although some of my family driving from the north had such strong gusts on the motorway that lorries nearly tipped over and were weaving from side to side on the road. Ad I’m not sure they are looking forward to going back home as their area got flooded.
London wasn’t the best place to be at the weekend. Packed trains and tube lines shut in the places I needed to go. But thankfully it was mainly a good time.
Wow I hope you and your family and friends are all okay? Flooding is horrible, I hope it hasn’t affected anyone you know too badly. I’ll check out those videos later tomorrow (it’s gone 1am now). Sorry I’ve been so slow to get back into things, but whenever I go into big crowds like family gatherings or extra crowded areas in London it tends to make me tired and gives me headaches which last a few days. I’m finally recovering but it took some time, lol.

No apology needed. I need some recovery time after going out in crowded places too, so I definitely understand.
Hope your family gets (or got) home safely. Nobody I know personally had anything serious to deal with. I’m thankful for that, even while feeling for those who can’t say the same. Not to mention the poor animals who drowned because of the flooding in some areas.

Oh wow, I hadn’t even thought about the poor animals caught up in floods. I know pets can get stuck but wild animals, nobody ever mentions them in flood reports, poor things.

Aww, how can you not adore your cats, they are the best animal in the world 😀 ❤
Lol, well that's much better than having caats that don't. I've been in a house with cats that hated each other… 😮
