Agents of the Wild: Operation Honeyhunt by Jennifer Bell & Alice Lickens – When 8-year-old Agnes is signed up for SPEARS (the Society for the Protection of Endangered and Awesomely Rare Species), she has no idea of the adventures that lie ahead with her elephant-shrew mentor Attie (short for “Attenborough”).

The Last Hours (Book One): Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare – Cordelia Carstairs is a Shadowhunter, a warrior trained since childhood to battle demons. When her father is accused of a terrible crime, she and her brother travel to London in the hope of preventing the family’s ruin.
