Yesterday I shared a review for the colouring/activity book Animal Querkles: A Puzzling Colour by Numbers Book and with it promised to share a picture of the first image that I coloured in this book.  The image isn’t going to be a spoiler in the sense that I’m going to spoil what sort of animals you’ll find in this book, as it’s actually the same image as one on the cover of the book, but I still think it looks so impressive whenever I see it!  The idea of the challenging colour-by-numbers in Animal Querkles is a lot of fun and it’s fun not being able to tell what animal you’re colouring in until the end.  But when you finally finish and then take a step back to admire your work, it’s just amazing, beautiful and makes me want to spend all day doing querkles puzzles! 😀

I hope you like the giraffe image below.  I decided to use different shades of blue colouring pencil, in some instances just pressing down more for a darker shade.  It’s been a lot of fun and I can’t wait to do more querkles colouring in and hopefully share it with you, if you’d like to see! 🙂

What do you think of the realism of the griraffe, and my colouring in efforts?  Can you see those circles still visible in the background?  That’s part of the querkles puzzle, lots of overlapping circles and you have to find the small areas that are marked and colour them in! 😮 😀

What do you think of this colouring?  What colouring books would you recommend?  Let me know what you think in the comments below 🙂
