Today I’m super excited to share a very special book haul which I received last week from the wonderful people at Harper Inspire.  The publication date for the book I received was last Thrusday (18th) and along with a copy of the book I was lucky enough to be given some wonderful extra gifts (book merch) including a mug, notebook and tote bag! 😀  Let’s take a look at everything plus the important book that was released last week…

Isn’t it amazing?  The mug, tote bag and notebook, which looks especially lovely and good quality, all carry the hashtag #LeaveNothingUnspoken.  It becomes clear what this hashtag and title of the book is about when you read the blurb, which you can see below along with a closer image of the book (description from Amazon), so let’s take a look…

Unspoken: Toxic masculinity and how I faced the man within the man by Guvna B – Men are bold. Men are brave. Men are strong in the face of fear. But what happens when that strength crumbles? Growing up on a council estate in East London, rapper Guvna B thought he knew everything he needed to know about what it means to be a man. But when a personal tragedy sent him reeling, he knew he had to face these assumptions head on if he was going to be able to overcome his grief. In this intimate, honest and unflinching memoir, Guvna B draws on his personal experiences to explore how toxic masculinity affects young men today. Exploring ideas of male identity, UNSPOKEN is an inspirational account of Guvna’s journey.

I have to admit it was amazing to be sent these special gifts to celebrate the publication of the book, and I can’t wait to read this book and share my thoughts about it (which won’t be swayed by the special book merch desipte it being very lovely 😀 ).  I have a feeling this is going to be a good and important read. 🙂

What do you think of this book and these extras?  What books are you looking forward to reading?  Let me know what you think in the comments below 🙂
