Hi everyone! I’m still spending a lot of time offline due to health issues and I’m wrting up a blog post about this which I’ll hopefully finish for next week so I can explain what’s been going on with me as I’d like to let you know, given how sporadic my online time has been lately, but in the meantime I thought I’d start catching up with some other posts which I should have put out in the last couple of weeks. Before I do I just want to thank you ❤ all for your support over the last few weeks and I’m hopefully going to be able to return to blogging properly, although maybe not quite to the same frequency as before, though I’m excited to get back into it. 🙂
But in the meantime I’d love to show you some wonderful books which I have recieved over the last month. There’s another blog haul post I’ll put up next week which is really very late considering I got the books at the start of May, but in the meantime there’s some books for upcoming blog tours in June that I wanted to share with you today. I received one of these books near the beginning of this month and another more recently but I’ve been so behind in taking pictures of these because of the health problems that I hope you don’t mind them being late. So anyway, I hope you like these two books as I’m so excited to get the chance to read these two, and especially the second book 🙂
First to an exciting, aparantly twisty drama…

You Need To Know by Nicola Moriarty – Jill’s three grown-up sons mean everything to her.
She would do anything for her boys – protect them, lie for them, even die for them.
Then one day she receives an email with the subject line: ‘You Need To Know’.
Jill doesn’t want to know. She leaves the warning unread.
But some truths you can’t hide from.
Soon Jill will start to wonder if she knows her sons at all . . .
How long will these secrets stay hidden?
And when they are revealed . . . can Jill’s family survive?
And now for a book that’s been on my radar since (I think) last year which is why I’ve been extra excited to get this!…

The Lock In by Phoebe Luckhurst – Ellen and Alexa have survived hangovers, dodgy landlords and most of their twenties together.
But can they survive this?
While nursing The Hangover from Hell, a flooded kitchen leads best friends Ellen and Alexa, and hapless housemate Jack, into their attic to turn off the water supply.
But when Ben – Alexa’s date from the night before – walks in, the door slams, the handle breaks and all four are trapped.
Cue the Worst Ever morning-after-the-night-before.
As the hours tick by, Ellen nurses her sore head and watches as her best friend falls for this handsome stranger.
Only for a horrifying realization to hit. She is sure she knows Ben from somewhere.
Frantically searching her memories, Ellen pieces together exactly how they’ve met before.
Is Ben really who she thinks he is?
And, most importantly, what on earth is she going to do about it . . .
This is a hilarious story of housemates and hangovers and friendship and dating as four twenty-somethings discover what The Worst morning-after-the-night-before really looks like.
This proof copy I’ve been lucky enough to be given features a fun cut in the keyhole shape on the cover. I like the illustration on the next page of the book so I thought I’d show you it, as it’s a fun pic and art style although I don’t know if the final copies will look like this:

Don’t these two books sound so interesting? I’m so excited to read both of these and be part of a blog tour for both books, with both tours happening on different days in June so please keep a look out for these. 🙂 In case you’re wondering I was extra excited for The Lock In as I found out about it and got the chance to read a bit about the book during a survey at the end of last year (I think) and I kept it in mind and even wrote about it being one of my anticipated reads for 2021, but then I saw a bunch of bloggers get the proofs and I didn’t think I’d get the chance to read this but you should never give up hope because I’m now a part of the blog tour in June and I can’t wait to get started! 😀 Anyway in the meantime please do let me know what books you are looking forward to reading in June and I’ll be back with more blog posts next week. 🙂 ❤
