I haven’t done a book tag in a while and after being online for a bit and doing a random search I came across this short but fun tag which I thought sounded interesting as I have a lot of books I feel I should have read but didn’t!  This tag comes from The Book Nut and was origianlly created by Book’s Nest.   As always feel free to do this book tag if you like and if you want me to see your answers do leave a link below in the comments or leave a link to this post in your own if using WordPress (to create a pingback).  Okay, so just a few short questions about books I haven’t actually read yet so here we go!…

A book that a certain friend is always telling you to read

I have a friend, a family member actually who has been bugging me to read a book which I would love to when I get the time!  Dark Matter by Blake Crouch sounds just like the twisty and interesting science fiction I love.  I REALLY want to read this one, especially as there’s an aspect in the novel that this person told me which I will really love to do with alternate worlds.  I absolutely love science fiction like that, even more so as our own world feels like it’s been on a weird tilt lately, and I’m so eager to read this.  I just need to find the time and get my current tbr pile to look more manageable!

A book that’s been on your TBR forever and yet you still haven’t picked it up

I still have a few Point Horror and Point Crime books somewhere which I still haven’t read since the late1990s when I bought them, do they count? lol.😅😂  Technically I DO still want to read them even though it has been literally many, many years (I feel old!) and they’re now lost at the bottom of a box I still haven’t unpacked since moving.

A book in a series you’ve started, but haven’t gotten round to finishing yet

Every book in The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, I want to read and haven’t had the chance to yet apart from City of Bones which I did enjoy!  I did actually receive this box set of the rest of the books for review a long time ago (I did review the box set too, just not going into detail about each individual book!) and so I do have these books ready and waiting for me to read them when I have time.

A classic you’ve always liked the sound of, but never actually read

I am so keen to read so many of the classics that it’s hard to pick just one as I have already bought so many to read.  I already have The Illiad, War and Peace, Alice in Wonderland, Pride and Prejudice, The Count of Monte Cristo, and MANY, MANY more on my shelves but I just haven’t picked up a single one of these yet!  Actually if I’m honest when it comes to classics, except for a very small few, I basically want to READ THEM ALL! 😀 😛

A popular book that it seems everyone but you has read

Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling.  I think this one is still an obvious one but I still haven’t picked up the Harry Potter series to read, even though I do want to at some point.  I have so many Harry Potter things like colouring books and I love the movies and keep re-watching them, but I just haven’t had the time to read the books yet which I know I will do eventually when my tbr pile (and in particular the promised book reviews for publishers pile) isn’t so big.  This answer could have easily been my answer for the below question too!…

A book that inspired a film/TV adaptation that you really love, but you just haven’t read it yet

Does Howl’s Moving Castle count?  It’s technically an animated film but it’s currently my favourite Studio Ghibli movie so far and has been for years now ever since I first picked it up and watched it.  I know there’s a book that comes first and there are differences between it and the film but it’s a book I am keen to read as I just love the movie and would love it if I could fall in love with the book too, even if it is a little different. 🙂

A book you see all over Instagram but haven’t picked up yet

I’m not sure I’ll say I’ve seen this all over Instagram as much as all over blogs and Twitter (as I took a big Instagram break until recently) but the whole series of A Court of Thorns and Roses is a series of books I keep seeing absolutely everywhere but have never picked up.  Believe it or not but until only about a year or a year and a half ago, I had no idea what ACOTAR meant!😂  I kept seeing people chatting about ACOTAR and I was like…what are you on about?! lol   Eventually my brain worked out it means this series, lol🤦‍♀️😅.  I do love fantasy and while I’m still not sure whether I’d enjoy reading this series or not, the amount of hype has certainly made me very interested indeed! 😀

Well, I hope you liked my answers to this short tag.  And don’t forget to tag this post or mention in the comments if you’re doing this tag and let me know what answers you would give!  Did you always know what ACOTAR meant? lol 🤪 😀

What do you think of my answers?  Are there any books that you feel you should have read but still haven’t?  Let me know what you think in the comments below 🙂
