Review: This is such a lovely and sweet book!  When Little Bunny is feeling down, he remembers that he has friends, they help to cheer him up and show him what a good friend can be.  This book is a lovely and small hardback with thick glossy pages inside.  Each page has a lovely pencil illustration of Bunny and his friends, and a few words on each page too.

This is such a wonderful book of friendship and I love how through Bunny we can see all the good aspects of friendship and how to be a good friend back.  The book has rhyming throughout, it’s like one big poem and the rhymes are perfect, making this so fun to read.  At first we see Bunny, sad and alone, but soon he is joined by his friends and they cheer him up, spend time with him and we learn how friends are good for listening to you when you rant, spending time with you, cheering you up when you are sad, accepting you for who you are even if you are a bit mad, and even how friends will always tell the truth, whether you want to hear it or not.  This book really is a celebration and show of what true good friends are and how important it is to not only have a friend give you their time, but how it’s important to be a good friend back.

The illustrations in this book are so beautiful and engaging.  Bunny is so expressive and I just love how these look like simple pencil sketches and yet they have so much lovely detail.  Bunny ends up meeting several friends including a bear and mole and on every page we see various things such as Bunny and his mouse friend eating ice creams together, or sharing a hug with Bear.

I think this book will really be enjoyed by children for its lovely rhyming words and the really beautiful illustrations.  The book shows the wonderful things about friends and it’s a good message for children of how to be a good friend and also of how friends should act towards you, which is important when children begin socialising with others outside of family.  It’s a lovely read and I would have adored this book as a child.  Its small size also makes it easy to hold for smaller hands and it’s just such a wonderful book, I recommend it to everyone!
