Today I’m sharing a book haul post that’s way overdue as I got these books some time ago but forgot I hadn’t photographed them until now.🙄🤦‍♀️  A big thank you (and apology for this being so late) to Alan for these amazing books from Envelope Books.  I was so intrigued when I was asked if I’d like to review these as these books are very different from any I’ve ever seen before and I have to say, I really do love the way they look with the covers looking like envelopes! 🙂

There are two books that came as you can see below:

One book looks like the front of an enveloope and the other a newspaper.  The sheet of paper in the back showcases more Envelope Books you can buy.  Now let’s take a closer look at these two books starting with this one which doesn’t look like an enenvelope but rather a newspaper front and indeed this isn’t an Envelope Book but rather a Broad Sheet book by the same publisher…

Belle Nash and the Bath Soufflé by William Keeling – When clever Mrs Gaia Champion hosts her first supper after the untimely death of her husband, the meal does not go quite to plan – divel take it!
Enter Bellerophon ‘Belle’ Nash (swoon!) – city councillor, bachelor extraordinaire and grandson of Bath’s famed Master of Ceremonies, Beau Nash.
Exploring the culinary mishap with an amusante group of lady friends, Belle exposes a foul stench at the heart of Regency Bath’s judicial network.
Meanwhile, he struggles to retain the love of his German ‘cousin’, and young Princess Victoria urges Gaia to defy male dominance.  Forsooth!
Welcome to the Gay Street Chronicles.

And now onto the other book looking like an Envelope when you turn it on its side, but I assure you the book is read the proper way up. 🙂 …

Spy Artist Prisoner by George Tomaziu – The Romanian artist George Tomaziu anticipated that he might be improsoned for monitoring German troop movements during the Second World War.
He also imagined that after the war, if he survived it, he might be credited with having helped to save his country from Fascism.
Instead, the new Communist regime sent him back to prison and stranded him there for 13 years.
This is his memoir.

This last book has such a cool back cover which continues the envelope theme!…

Also along with the books were a couple of Booklaunch newspapers.  These are back copies but I’m  happy to receive them as I’ve never read these before and the company creating these papers then branched out into publishing Envelope Books, Postcard Books and Broad Sheet Books (I love it! 😀 )!…

I just love the idea of books looking like envelopes, postcards and newspapers, and these two sound so interesting! I love a good memoir especially about the war time and Belle Nash and the Bath Souffle just sounds like a brilliant and funny read!  I will get to reviewing these as soon as I can, a little later than I planned, but these reviews will be coming soon so I hope you’ll look out for those when they appear. 🙂  In the meantime let me know if you like the sound or look of these books? 😀

What do you think of theses books?  Do you like the cover images of these books?  Let me know what you think in the comments below 🙂
