Today I’ve got some lovely new book post to share with you which comes from HQ and this isn’t just a book in the post but some extra goodies too! 🙂 You might remember that about a month or so ago I shared an extract of a book called The Dead Romantics and I found the first chapter so brilliant and couldn’t wait for the chance to read more of this book. Well, today, with a huge thank you to publisher HQ, I have received a copy of this book and I’m so, so excited as I really want to read this after that first chapter! 😀 But before we take a look at the book and what exactly came in the post, first let’s see exactly how this book first arrived. Check out the seal on the back…

You can just about make out the bird on that seal. So exciting! Now, let’s see what came in this envelope once I had opened it…

Here is the book, a bookmark and some other extras. I love the bookmark, it has a spotify code on it which if you scan it, it can play all the music mentioned in the story, I’ll be honest, I didn’t even know that you could do that with spotify! 😃. Now let’s take a look at the other extras…

There’s a yellow balloon, I wonder if there’s anything significance – the yellow flowers on the cover perhaps, a beautiful jet black feather to match the bird on the book cover and that seal, and a paper tag which says ‘Plant me and watch the wild flowers grow’. I’ve never seen seeds set into paper before! I’m definitely planting this and seeing what will grow! 😀 Now, let’s take a closer look at this book…

The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston – Forence Day is a ghost-writer with one big problem. She’s supposed to be penning swoonworthy novels for a famous romance author but, after a bad break-up, Florence no longer believes in love. But when her strict (but undeniably hot) new editor, Benji Andor, refuses to give her an extension on her book deadline, Florence prepares to kiss her career goodbye.
When tragedy strikes and Florence has to head home, the last thing she expects to see is a ghost at her front door. Not just any ghost, however, but the stern form of her still very hot – yet unquestionably dead – new editor.
As sparks start to fly between them, Florence tells herself she can’t be falling for a ghost – even an infuriatingly sexy one. But can Benji help Florence to realise love isn’t dead, after all?
I’ve known about this book for so many months now and wanted the chance to read it before but a blog tour that was running of this clashed with another I had and so I never signed up. But now I have the chance to read this and it sounds so interesting and brilliant, doesn’t it? I love stories with ghosts, even one that sounds like it could be a little funny and intersting like this one. You can check out the first chapter by clicking here, it really does sound like it will be a great read and I can’t wait to start. Look out for a review coming as soon as I can read this! 🙂
