Today I want to share with you a belated book haul of two lovely picture books I received from publisher Crumps Barn Studio and a big thank you to the publisher for sending these and apologies for not showing them off sooner, I’ve been having serious issues with my phone and actually had to factory reset the thing and it took me some time to get these photos back.  Anyway, these two picture books are both so lovely to look at and one of them features the late Queen Elizabeth II which I think is a lovely and fun tribute to her.  So first let’s see what came in the post…

Bringing joy to all who opened them, both near and far away…
But wait!  Oh no!  Quen Liz has missed her oldest friend Nessie’s birthday!
A royal invitation to come to the palace is quickly sent – and the chef wants to help choose the menu.  But what does a queen give a monster for tea?
A very royal story about the Loch Ness Monster.

Ghillie Wakes Up by Joe Robson & Lorna GrayAs the sun rose over the brow of the hill and turned each blade of grass a shade of golden green, Ghillie slowly opened his eyes…
Duisaster!  When Gillie the giant redwood tree wakes after his winter sleep, he has a fright.  His best friend Willow has fallen in a storm!  Can Ghillie, Ember the squirrel and the badgers put her back together again?  And what surprise of her own does Willow have in store?

Don’t both of these books look and sound lovely?  I will have reviews of these coming very soon on the blog.  I’ve actually already checked out A Monster Tea Party at the Palace and it is very good! 🙂  Please do look out for those reviews coming soon on the blog and let me know what you are reading?

Do you like the look and sound of these books?  Are there any books you like that are a good tribute to the late Queen?  Let me know what you think in the comments below 🙂
